I believe your caption is incorrect. These photos appear to have been taken sometime during his trial, as he is wearing suit and white shirt sans tie. Execution photos elsewhere on the web (and descriptions) show him dressed in all black clothing (not a business suit, either).

Yes, Saddam Hussein is gone but they killed him right away because they did't wan an appeal to be given to his lawyers, because if they had the witnesses would have brought the fact that the U.S had given Sadam bombs and weapons to kill the Kurds because they wanted Iraq to fight Iran. The U.S. was just using Saddam because the U.S. wanted to get on the good side of them so they could come in and take over Iraq and its oil. Do not let someone be nice to you because they usually have an ulterior motive.
Americans, look up a picture of Donald rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam and smiling. He was like the american natives, say, he speaks with forked tongue. Cheny was also in on this situation where the U.S furnished weapons to Iraq kill his enemies which was to primarily Iran.
Bush has succeeding in getting even with Saddam - a man who had nothing do do with 9/11. Now maybe he can get around to remembering Osama bin Laden and his other failed war in Afganistan.
